When I try to connect using mission planner versions 1.1.51 & 1.1.52 I get a "No Heartbeat Packets Received" box after the time out.

I don't have this problem with 1.1.50, have I missed something.

I am using Windows Xp if that makes a difference.

I have the same problem with this update. I think something broke it was working perfectly until latest Mission Planner update. Hopefully there is a update for it today :).

what firmware and what apm board version?

I downloaded AC2.4.1 for quad to 2560 board via USB

Sorry, forgot to say it's APM 1

Have you downgraded the mission planner 1.1.50 and tried it again.

MP 1.1.50 works ok for me at the moment. I have tried using the update option offered in 1.1.50 but that takes it to 1.1.52 and still fails with the same result. So I have to delete the updated version and go back to loading 1.1.50 and say no to the update option.

also is this via usb? or xbee? or other

2.28 I used Mission Planner and then uploaded firmware arduino relax. I have xbee but havnt connected due to this issue. Also, notice it killed my gyro when I try to get live data. Connecting USB at this time.

1.1.51 connected and working fine with xbee's

1.1.52 not connecting -no heartbeat with xbee's

APM 1

xbee pro 900

arduplane 2.24

win7

what usb to xbee adapter are you guys running?

I tried 1.1.52 again this morning (2 flights) and it now worked fine with the xbees, didn't do anything different?.

I am using the Extreme bee boards.

You just need to download the old version from this link and extract it on your desktop. However, if you click upgrade it will replace the files in that folder only. You can different versions of the software. However if you upgrade the program the folder will still show the old version. But when you start the program you see the latest version. So when you redownload 1.1.50 or 1 don't upgrade. http://code.google.com/p/ardupilot-mega/source/browse/Tools/Ardupil...
