Hi all,
During the loading of the 32 bit MP on my Toshiba laptop, running 32 bit MS Vista, the loading window indicates that it is trying to write to memory that is either protected or corrupted. Since I have run two memory tests on my laptop and there was no indication of corrupted memory I must assume that the MP loader is attempting to write to protected memory for some reason.
A symptom of this inability to write to certain protected memory on the laptop is that the HUD display in the MP Flight Window does not appear even with a GPS lock of 9 satellites. I have ugraded to MP 1.2.14, but both versions display the same symptoms. I do not have this issue with my PC which is running MS Windows 7 64 bit and has the same amount of memory as the laptop.
Has any other member experienced this issue on their laptop running 32 bit MS Vista?
Regards,
TCIII

Hi all,
Attached is a screen shot of the MP loading on my Toshiba laptop. The protected/corrupted memory message appears to be in response to the loader accessing memory for the HUD display.

try updating your graphics card driver

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your response, but already tried that and no joy! Have you looked at the MP loading screen shot for some clues that I might use to troubleshoot this issue?

Hi Michael,
Since my laptop uses a built-in ATI video display driver I decided to go to the AMD website to see if MS Windows was telling the truth about there being no new drivers for my laptop's video display. Well it seems that MS lied and I was able to install new drivers that cured the issue with the HUD in the MP. All is well now!
