No luck with 2.9.1 camera trigger

Anyone successfully using the new 2.9.1 camera trigger functionality?

I believe I have all my config correct, you can see channel 7's low and high values from the radio calibration screen, Ch7 is set to trigger, the shutter values are what I would expect them to be (assuming 'low' is anything below the 'Not Pushed' value and 'high' is anything above the 'Pushed' value), and you can see the cam drive mode is set to servo from the adv config page:

But when I flick the switch, nothing happens. I have a servo plugged in to RC7, and you can see from these two HUD screen grabs that it's not trying to output anything to RC7:

I've also tried right clicking the map and selecting 'Trigger Camera NOW', no luck there either.

How do you manually test it? What have I got wrong?

Thanks all,

AC.

    AC,

I've just tested this and it seems to work ok.  But while testing I found a couple of issues that you may have also bumped into:

    • the rear servo rail may not be powered on your APM2 if you're only connected using a mini USB cable.  So on my set-up my JP1 jumper is set but this only allows power from ESCs to flow to the APM chip.   It doesn't allow power to flow back from the chip to the rear rail.
    • there's a small bug in the mission planner's Hardware Options, Camera Gimbal screen.  It seems that when you change that little Shutter drop down, it's not correctly clearing the FUNCTION value for the unselected servo.  So for example, if you first set the shutter to CH6, and then change it to CH7 both servos will be recorded as being used to trigger the shutter.  I think this is the root of your problem.  I suspect Michael Oborne will sort this out very quickly but until then can you go through and make sure that all RCXX_FUNCTION parameters are not 10 except for RC7_FUNCTION?
