All,
Hopefully someone can point me in the right directions. When I test the optical flow sensor in the AP Missionplanner terminal test mode, the x & y values change. However, when I run the ADNS3080ImageGrabber application (I assume I don't have to upload the sketch because the Mission planner has already done so), the image does not change at all. Just black with a slight fade in to dark gray. That being said, I only downloaded the ADNS3080ImageGrabber.py file and ran it. It seems to connect fine, comes back with messages such as 'GPS', etc. But no images shows up.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Alexander

Not sure Randy added yet the code to integrate to the latest build... Randy, can you comment?

Hi there, sorry, didn't see this.
You need to load the example sketch that's found in the AP_OpticalFlow library for it to work with the image grabber python script. I didn't want to build out the whole image grabbing thing into the main arducopter code so I put it in a separate sketch. Grabbing the image is only really required when you're first setting up your optical flow and want to make sure that you have the lense focussed properly.

Ah, that explains. Let me figure this out over the next few days. Never uploaded an individual sketch, so I'll have to figure that out first and take it from there.
When that all works, what can I expect from the optical flow? What behavior should I see from the Hexa?
Thanks!
Alexander
