Hello,

My name is Frauke Levin.  I'm an associate Producer with Pangloss Films, an Emmy-nominated production company in New York City.  We are currently working on a PBS NOVA program about UAV technology.  Our program will focus on the technology and science behind UAVs, as well as their future development and use.

We are looking for a hobbyist in the DC area who is willing to give us a hands-on demonstration of his/her UAV-- ideally one that can fly with a DSLR camera mounted.   We are looking to film you flying your UAV in the DC area, and also to record some of the footage that the UAV is capturing.

We are aiming to film sometime the second half of next week (Weds/Thurs/or Fri).

Likely, the filming will take about two hours.

If you are interested, please reach out as soon as possible and I can provide more details.

I can be contacted at flevin@panglossfilms.com

Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Best,

Frauke

PS:  Are there any other sites that I should post on?  I assume this is the most frequented but any advice is welcome!

  • Almost all of the RC sites have a drone and/or FPV (first person view) forum.  I think your show would be most interesting if you covered more than one type of UAV and/or autopilot system.

If you google "RC forum" you can probably find a better list than I can come up with off the top of my head.  rcuniverse.com is one big one.
