Is there a way to avoid having to recalibrate the ESC every time the 12V is disconnected? I'm doing a project that requires 2 hexacopters to cooperatively lift a weight. There is going to be hundreds of power cycles and I'd like to avoid recalibration as much as possible.
The other quest is how hard is it to make the APM respond to usb commands rather than RC commands?
ESC calibration should survive a power cycle, the ESC stores the calibration values in flash
Or do you mean Accelerometer calibration?
In the setup I have to deal with there is no RC, so doing a calibration is going to be tricky ( has anyone already done it?).
What we have is 2 hexacopters, a beam and a load cell to measure combined lift. All flight commands are to come in from USB, from a script. The commands will be roll, pitch and throttle, no yaw. I'm thinking if I can disable the PPM and inject the USB as a servo signal I should be set.
Any ideas or warnings are welcomed.
