Hello,
Its been a while since I've been here and alot has changed. I have tryed to catch up with the changes but I may be rusty on the newest versions of ardupilot and diydrones' progress.
So I've been researching doing a UAV with image processing for a while now(2 years), but my skill level and technology have never matched. Once the Android ADK came out, I thought of using the android for communication, video feed, and image processing. I'm pretty good at arduino programming and processing is its visual counterpart. So my plan is to have a ground station running on processing, image processing and communication running on android in processing, and arduino would execute the commands. It seems like the perfect setup because communication between devices would be universal and very easy. And I also just found out about the phonedrone which is perfect because I was just going to use the regular android adk at first! So my question is what do you think of my project and what other UAV projects have been done using android adk/phonedrone? Anything similar to this? or Is phonedrone still pretty early in development?
Thanks,
Daniel
