I have a Nikon camera set up with an Infared Trigger like this:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__33702__Infrared_Remote_Shutter_Controller_for_Nikon_Cameras.html

It is activated when the pwm is high enough on whatever channel it's plugged into.

When I first set it up, I set the Ch7 OPT to Camera Trigger and the Camera shutter function in the gimbal setup page to output on RC10. It worked fine and I took a bunch of photos with a switch on the transmitter.

But now it doesn't work, the red light on the infared trigger doesn't even turn on. When i put my voltmeter to the pixhawk rc10 output it reads 0.05v  as opposed to the normal 5v. Other than this, the copter flies fine.

When i connect the trigger to the receiver the red light turns on, which rules out the board as the problem.

Basically i'm having problems getting the pixhawk to output the CH7 trigger signal on any RC position on the pixhawk board

If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it

  • Problem resolved!! It was simpler that i thought, the servo rail had no power, and it worked at first because i had it plugged in with gimbal which was supplying power, when i unplugged that it stopped working. I completely forgot about this because all my ESCs are opto and powered from the PDB.
