I have a 3DR 915 MHz v1.1 USB interface radio that will not enter command mode using the 3DR radio config tool and does not respond to any commands. The unit was communicating whenfirst received, but stopped working when I tried adjusting some of the settings (I was trying to increase data rate at the expense of range for initial airframe characterisation testing)
I have been able to place it in bootloader mode by grounding the config pin at power on. I get a solid red led on the module and the config tool goes through the firmware upload process and finishes with a success message, however the unit still does not respond to any commands when it has exited bootloader mode.
I am running windows 7 64 bit on a toshiba laptop, and have no problems communicating with another 3DR radio (same model number) from my other project. I have also tried using another PC running 32bit Vista, with the same result.
I'm now out of ideas. Does anyone have any other ideas I can try before I return the unit?
Thanks,
Paul

IMHO you've set different baudrate that one you're trying to connec at.
Permalink Reply by paul riseborough on January 22, 2013 at 9:28am That doesn't work (It needs to enter command mode first before it can receive the AT&F reset command)
I have tried all of the available Baud rates.

If answer is "Yes", then connect air module to PC via USB-UART converter (FTDI cable), power ground module via USB an try to reach it via air module (as remote device).

Permalink Reply by Marcin Krawczyk on January 22, 2013 at 1:30pm I'm afraid that only RMA process is the answer...
