i have noticed worse loitering performance as well with version 2.2 b2 on a jdrones hexa frame with 12x4.5 props.

as advised in the version 2.2 thread i have begun to experiment with the LOITER_P setting, but have not dedicated much time time to it at all.  all i can say is that changing the value from 2.0 to 1.5 has perhaps slowed the rate of oscillation, but overall has not improved the stability.  when the wind calms down a bit i will experiment some more.

2.2b2 is old, things are up to 2.2b4 now.

Reports from experienced people seem to indicate things are working very well, so if you have a problem it's probably mechanical, or your PID tuning that needs to be refined.

got 2.2b4 and a standard DIYdrones Quad Frame.

do you think temperature is an issue ?

- we v'e got zero degree outside now...

thanks a lot :-)
