Does anybody know where I could get a set of predator plans to build a video platform. I plan on using a 62 cc engine so I can scale them up or down as needed. I'd like to have the craft done for our Spring fly-in. Thanks, Todd

Michael,

Thanks for your generous sharing, I opened them with TurboCad 14 but all I see is the Pink text.

Any hints, I am a casual CAD user, sorry for the seemingly stupid question.

Dane
One of these has already been built. It was designed by someone in the US and he has a build log as well. I will include the url for it when I upload the plans. He has some nice pictures of it during the build process.
Thanks Michael , hope some more of this design takes up into the air.:)
@Mark , the media share is very good and pretty fast too. thank you.
Cheers
Thanks Michael for the files. I will need to convert them to PDF and do some work with scaling so that they can be printed and used as a hard copy to build from. The gentleman that had drawn these plans really doesn't live all that far from me in the whole worldly scheme of things; just in a neighboring state. When converted to PDF, they are nowhere near to the scale intended so it's just a resizing and then saving thing that I need to figure out. The scale bar that represents 12 inches was literally arond a qurter inch or less and the templates were yellow which doesn't show up well with a printer. I have converted all the yellow and magenta to black but am still having a time with the enlargement part. Any of you guys have any ideas? Thanks again, Todd
I know this is just a scale copy of the real thing, but I learned the hard way about making scale copy of the scan eagle..

Can't say much about the case, but be sure not to violating design copyright.

Hooks,
hey hooks how did you get on with your nightowl? I have lost 2 so far and I am on to mk3. I have reduced the fuse size down to 80" and have had to sort out a few other problems.
Doesn't copyright only apply to commercial operations?

If you are building a project for yourself, isn't that exempt?
Wow did they jump on you head Hooks!! Thats not nice.
Possible, that I can get a copy as well?

Thanks

my bad, I got the files from the links on page 2...
Hello gang,

These drawings may be of some assistance aswell

here is a link to some 3D models of a predator drone.. and here are a few random pics with dimensions.

Happy Holidays

Toby
Thanks for the other photos,

If anyone is interested I am making a 3D model of the airframe (from the 2d drawings found in this thread), I'll post pics when completed and the zip file of the SolidWorks file. But some things are not working out as planned, like the instrument panel doesn't really lay flat inside on top of the bulkheads and the holes on the mounts for the wings to the airframe (the square ones) do not line up properly either (the cut out has the holes to far apart or the the bulkheads are too close together). This is about as far as I have gotten, So far I am using what is supplied in the plans for the mock up, fitting or not.

All this should be done by the end of the Holidays.
