Hi, I recently purchased a Ardu Pilot Mega Kit along with two 900 xbee modules from the store.
Finished soldering up the kit and everything appears to be working fine. However, I encountered some problems when trying to use the 900 xbee modules.
Actually, its just one of the modules - I can't seem to connect to it. I've tried every available baud rate on the X-CTU program as well and double checked the serial port number, all to no avail. I keep getting an "unable to communicate with modem" error message.
The other module connects at the 5700 baud rate without any problem.
I am using the recommended Sparkfun xbee usb board for the above configuration. On the IMU side, I have the recommended DIY Drones board but have not used it with the 900 modules because of the above problem.
Is there a problem with the module or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,

I'm getting the same error with the diydrones xbee 900 telemetry kit. The X-CTU program reports "unable to communicate with modem" when trying to communicate via the xbee USB dongle.
Any advice on how to fix this?
Thanks,
Phil

The weird thing is in my case, one of the xbee modules works normally while the other doesn't. Hate to say it, but it looks like one of mine might be defective.
I've used the 2.4gHz modules so I do have some experience but this one is beyong me.
