Hi, im new to all this and was wondering if anyone has had any problems with hobbyking.com. I looked it up online and saw some pretty bad reviews.
Any comments will be greatly appreciated!

Permalink Reply by Eddie Furey on April 3, 2012 at 5:59am Hobbyking is cheap. So sometimes their service is cheap and often their quality is cheap, but they are generally good value.
Occasionally something won't be quite right, like a prop adapter with the hole drilled off center.
For large items like planes, check on rcgroups for what mods are recommended to make the plane flyable.
If you're buying brand name stuff like Fatshark then the quality will be the same as any other store, so you're safe there.
Basically they are a great store that has really cheap stuff and I probably wouldn't be able to afford to stay in this hobby without them, but do your research, buy items that others have tried and recommend and order extras of cheap items in case something doesn't work or fit.

I recently changed an order and got store credit. When i used this store credit to place an order I never received the item (its been 3months now) and each time i try ask them they say they dont have tracking number.
THis would normaly be ok because I could just file a complaint with paypal to get my money back, but since i used mostly store credit I cant do anything about it
So yes hobbyking is cheap, and service is sometimes good and fast, other-times they mess up and their customer service in these situations is not great.
Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.106 members
