I'm looking for a drone I can program to fly around my warehouse (80ft height, about 100,000 sq ft) looking for hot spots (fire risks) with a thermal camera.
The drone has to be able to be programmed with a short flight path (indoors) and the ability to land on an induction charging pad so that it can charge and fly continuously. The flight path will stay constant.
I've found a couple induction chargers. I was thinking I could build the thermal imaging part as a standalone camera + microcontroller + cellular radio unit that I could affix to the drone -- but would otherwise be independent in terms of logging data / etc. The drone will need to be able to handle this payload in terms of weight -- and ideal would be some kind of integration with the drone so that the heat detector component was also recharged -- but not necessary for a first prototype
Anyone have any suggestions on drone models I should look at? Thanks for any advice you can give
