I am fascinated with the autonomous FPV flight aspect of a quad. The closest I can get without spending a $1500+ on a DJM WK-M is the APM 2.0 which I understand has full GPS autopilot (even autolanding) capabilities. While, I understand the ArduCopter 2 can come equipped with it, I much prefer the MultiiWiiCopter Scarab X frame (purely from the a looks perspective) and also the the full Arial Photography package kit. My question is, can I easily replace the PARIS 6 controller with a APM 2.0 (still on backorder). Does it require any "skills" to do so or is plug and play

Thanks

anyone?

You could easily swap out the Paris controller for the APM2 as all flight controllers have a number of receiver inputs, motors outputs. It should be plug-and-play, flight however is a whole different thing. Like all flight controllers, you need to configure it.

The power distribution i.e. battery, esc, servo's and flight controller needs planning. The most important one is the flight controller, do you power it from one of the ESC (output rail +5V) or from the input +5V rail e.g. secondary battery with UBEC.
