Hello everyone,
As part of a school project I have been fixing up this quadcopter that someone else at my school had assembled 2 years ago. So far I've found out that it is called a 3DR Quad-C DIY and I've found a couple of manuals online.

But I couldn't find a single thing about batteries, but fortunately I did find 2 old batteries in an old box full of quad parts.
the battery connector on the quad is a deans connector, but if need be I can solder an XT60 onto it.
~So my question is what kind of battery should I get, the ones I found are old and have expanded.
~Can I get any battery as long as its 11.1V?
~Is that the only constant that must be true?
~Can I get a higher mAh rating or a higher C?
~Could someone explain how the quad will be affected by altering these parameters.
Thanks in advance!

I know this is old, but since I came across it in searching, the answer is contained in this other thread:
