Larger props turning slow make the least noise. Also wider blades like APC SF series have always sounded quieter to me. Also keep the tips of the blades away from each other and away from the center. You have to make the arms a little longer but it does make some difference. Also frame design and material seams to make a difference. Some frames are just noisy it’s probably due to structural resonance.

Cheaper GWS knockoff props usually aren't perfectly straight and oscillate in the air up and down with each turn. I find this a major cause of noise for me.

 I have over the years gone with the better quality props since I noticed that cheaper plastics flatten out at high RPM alot more than the APC ones.

Watching a prop runup is NOT a safe thing to do from the side, but you can really notice the change in pitch that way.

Most of noise is generated by motors "clicking",

The Simonk reflashed ESC reduces the noise a lot  ;)
