I had an american great-uncle who was a pioneer in HAM radio and R/C between the first and second WorldWars.

(Clinton B. DeSoto (1912 - 1949), radio callsign W9KL)

Just a little joke Ric.  I'm sure we could fill the page with good arguments.

I only mentioned it because Tesla was recently in the news for being declared to have invented the radio.  Who invented it, who made the first one, and who made the first usable one really don't matter to any of us since they're all long dead.

Nikola Tesla (Никола Тесла) was born in Europe (Serbia), also Alexander Stepanovich Popov (Алекса́ндр Степа́нович Попо́в) in Russia and Guglielmo Marconi in Italy :-)
