Reading Analogue Input Values and Transmitting via Telemetry

Hello,

I have an APM 2.6 and am looking into integrate a chemical sensor with it. I want to read the analogue voltage input and transmit those back using the 3DR Telemetry kit. I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction.

I have looked at Dr Owens guide and have started reading up on HAL. Is there a straight-forward way of doing this?
