How can I connect a remote CLI/Fly-Mode Switch? Can I parallel a slide switch without having to disconnect the current slide switch? The reason of having a remote swith is because if I'm at the field and have to enter the CLI mode I would have to take the wings out to have access to the hardware.

Almost all functions can be done via MAVLink over the Xbee. What do you need the CLI for at the field?
To change the Modes swhitch.
You can change modes via the GCS. Are you not running a GCS?
Not at the present time. I'm still in the experimenting stage. I'm developing my own GCS (VB.NET) but it does not have all the features yet.

I was out of the loop for a while and was developing a GCS using code 1.02 and #define GCS_PROTOCOL GCS_PROTOCOL_LEGACY. Now that you mention it (using a GCS) I realize that I have to move to version 2.xx to keep up with the flow and if I still want to continue with my GCS project I would have to go back to the drawing board and learn MAVLINK protocol and the works. Is this correct? Although I downloaded the latest Mision Planner and it looks great and works great except that I had to change the dip switch settings. The other thing I noticed is that I don't have an option to select which version I want to download (either locally or online), it allways downloads the latest version available and if I have done some mods to a version I would loose them.

Thanks Chris for your orientation.

Are the dip switches currently even utilized? I don't think it matters what position the dip switches are in? Correct me if I'm wrong.

The dip switches are for servo reversing. Yes they are used.

Hector, have you checked out my GCS?

No I haven't. I will do it right now.

Thanks

Very well imppressed. Nice work. I think you are persuading me to hang up my GCS project.

Attached you will see a screen of where I was on my Project (VB.NET). It was working well (not all features I wanted) with version ArdupilotMega 1.02 and GCS_LEGACY protocol but I had to take a break and when I came back everyone is talking about APM2.xx. So I stayed behind.

I think I should try your GCS.

Thanks,

Hector

So they are only used for planes and not quads then correct?
What is "they?" DIP Switches? Not sure about that, you're probably right, not quads.
You are correct.
