Running Telemetry and low frequency video (900MHz)

I am interested in adding a video link to my multirotor. In looking at the frequencies available it seems that 900MHz seems to work the best. Best range/watt and does not get blocked easily. However, I would like to keep my telemetry link 915MHz (3DR). My questions are as follows.

1. Will there be interference if I run 900MHz video with the telemetry link?

2. If the above is a problem (guessing it is) is just switching to the 433MHz a viable option?

     - I am in the US and a HAM operator

Any other suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ryan

  • You could try a 1.2 ghz Video system, that has great range and object penetration and a slightly smaller antenna. But that said, I use 433mhz telem with basic antenna upgrade, 2.4ghz cheap radio gear and 5.8ghz 200mW video Tx and I get 2km+ clear Line of sight.
