Hey there. I'm a writer for Gizmodo.com and am working on a series called "Where the Magic Happens." I have my heart set on finding someone in this community to feature. If you have a cool workshop or studio/garage where the AUV-building magic happens, please send some pictures my way!
Yay, Michael has a Makerbot Thing-a-matic! (and even has the whizzy automated build platform, which is more than me)
Boys and their toys huh!
Love the slightly disapproving look in your avatar, to go with that statement. :-P
Hmmm... nice little helicopters. But no Ardupilot on them? I must be the only crazy one.
This is the living proof that engeneers can have a sence of culture. Nice Fender.
What are you talking about? Artistic culture and engineering are very closely tied . Michelangelo and Leonardo De Vince were both engineers.
They were also Ninja Turtles...
I read the same New Yorker article! I'm working on a new series for National Geographic right now, and would love to pick your brain about DIY drones or contacts too. (I too have my heart set on getting more info and finding folks who are innovators and build their own drones. Maybe your feature can also be the future star of my series! :)
From Portland, Oregon!
wow, nice, color me jealous! and which one is the work plane? :-)
