I'm in the testing phase of the project mounted (airframe tester) but I can
not give data for the characters that appear are not alphabetical (seem
HEX).
I believe that the compilation
and upload Sketch (Init Ardupilot Airframe Tester 2.5.0) is correct
because at the end the message "avrdude done. Thanks" and because too to
change the sketch can the AP board is running
another routine by the servos
and LEDs.
I've tried changing the WIN configuration of serial port for FTDI (tax, parity, data bit, flow bit, stop bit) 9600N8N1, 9600D8N1, 57600N8N1. By doing this, I noticed that the messages of the serial monitor changes to various other signals. can conclude that the error is in the transformation of binary code from the AP to the PC through the FTDI (I'm rigth ??I do'n). I have still the XBee adapter to connect to AP by Xbee, thereby testing the FTDI. But as the upload seems correct, I can not believe the default FTDI. I need help. thanks

Are you using the Arduino IDE serial monitor? You're supposed to change the baud rate in that.

Please upload a screen shot of your output.
Chris, the Image appears in the serial monitor (with the characters HEX), the upload screen with the answer "avrdude done" and the screen setup FTDI serial port. the GPS_PROTOCOL = 1 was used. In another picture we see how the hardware is mounted. The ArduIMU still not connected because I need to connect the FTDI cable.

thanks
I wish somebody would help me. I'm using the FTDI cable but can not correctly receive data from the AP. In this configuration below was only possible to see the data "Hello word" when using config 19200, despite scoring Serial.begin(9600). Can someone explain what is happening? how can I do to properly run the sketch "Ardupilot Airframe Tester 2.5.0)"?

I don't think you should have any red text in the status window of Arduino in Windows.

You didn't show your Advanced dialog box, so I can't tell if you set the Clear RTS checkbox as instructed in the manual. Have you gone through ALL of the Windows debugging tips here?

I don't use Linux, so can't comment on that version.

When you upload images, you should select "link to full size version". I can't read them at this size.
Manoel,

If your serial is running at 2x the declared rate it is possible you are compiling for the wrong arduino board. Check under the Tools > Board menu that you have the correct board selected.

If that is not the problem try using a different serial monitor to determine if the serial stream is actually 2x the declared rate, and not just the Arduino serial monitor telling you it is.

If you are certain that your serial rate is 2x you could try halving the serial.begin() value for the airframe tester.
congratulations, hopslink.
you discovered the mystery. Thank you. NANO AT328 16MHz as compiled and corrected the problem of speed of the serial monitor. thanks for your contribution.
The manual tells you to do the following: "Also ensure that the board selected in the Arduino IDE Tools menu is "Arduino Duemilanove w/ATmega328"

Did you do that?
Good evening, Chris. Thank you for participating. In rigth, my card is not a Duemilanove not even look like her. Moreover, there is the inscription on the board "AT168" when the processor has the inscription "AT328", as can be seen in the images I posted. Hence the confusion.
I know. The board is an ArduPilot, but it's Duemilanove compatible. All this is in the manual--you just have to read and follow it. You'll save yourself and the rest of the community a lot of time if you just follow the instructions, rather than guessing and asking questions.
I apologize. It is my first montage and I'm not trained in the field of electronics or computing. This forum is closed here. Thank you.
