So got my Arducopter going for the first time yesterday, flies great, just playing with some initial modes. Stabilize, Alt Hold, and RTL. Some Loitering, etc but no Auto. Quite a machine.

One question, I'm flying the APM 1and looking for the very best setting for shooting video. The most stable. Really more for flybys of homes for Real Estate, stills video, etc.

What is the best mode for a nice stable flight? Stabilize is the obvious answer, but it can sometimes slightly rotate and not keep pointed in the same direction. It could be that I just need to do more tweaking.

I used to fly a Gaui 330xs on a xproheli.com frame. It was gyro only and very easy and stable. Is there any way to disable GPS or fly solely by gyro when flying manually, no alt hold, etc.?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
