I've used VISCA before in VB.NET and C#.NET to communicate with a sony block camera.
What do you mean my using it in a spektrum RC configuration?

controling the zoom like you would a servo with a spektrum transmitter

Not sure if I've still got it, been a long time since I did that. But its just a matter of opening up a serial port and sending the appropriate commands as per the VISCA protocol standard. Do a google search, and if you don't have any luck, drop me a line.
