Thank you Darren !

Did you do this ? Have you some sample videos ?

I've been mostly absent this summer from all the fun stuff, but finally getting some time to re'engage.

But meanwhile the Dev Teams has been busy as all getout on APM/ACM.

Check this posting here for more info from Chris regarding camera tracking

What platform are you planning on fixed wing or rotor?

Darren, Do you know where in the code the PID parameters for the camera control can be adjusted ?

I am planning a fixed wing platform. In this moment i have Bixler for initial tests, and after that i take a bigger airframe. I made also 2 axis camera mount with 2 gyros but i want to add some stabilization.  After your answer i am planning to take APM and with APM to make the navigation and camera stabilization ! My idea is to make a platform with 2 or 3 axis gimbal with SONY block camera with zoom for good observations.

Evgeni,

I've also created a 2-axis camera mount, and am designing a 3-axis gimbal for a Sony FCB-EX11d that I just bought. Are you planning on a gimbal with continuous 360 degree panning? What about the VICSA protocol? I'm using a Baby Orangutan from Pololu to interface with the camera and the rotary encoder for the pan axis. Is your 3-axis setup going to be roll/pan/tilt?

Cheers
