Hi All

This discussion is regarding the strange issues we are getting which are currently unsolved around the stitching of drone images into ortho-images.

The problem is once the images are stitched the image looks good and is orientated correctly (in some cases) yet the overall ortho appears smaller than that of the google maps base map and google earth.

We are using online cloud stitching software's such as Mapsmadeeasy, dronedeploy and Event38 although they are unable to suggest an answer as to why this is happening

We are using Arducopter 3.2.1, PX4 pixhawk and mission planner 1.3.32 the images are being tagged with Event38 image utility. The exif data seems to display the correct location to some degree yet certain softwares are still unable to georeference the image correctly even though the UAV had and OK GPS lock and flew the auto mission somewhat correctly and produced an accurate KMZ as attached

Currently mission planner is unable to tag the images and reports a "No GPS match in log" yet Event38 image utility was able to geotag the images.

We suspect the issues are with projection (yet everthing has been done in WGS 84) or geotagging images and a mix up in regard to altitude and the ASL and AGL features (yet the exif data of tagged images looks fairly accurate)

If anyone else is or has experienced these issues in the past please comment and share as information on the above errors seems to be fairly absent from the internet. Log files are attached and a link below will lead to the raw images for anyone who would like to try tag them. Its a set of 37 images taken by Sony A5100 triggered via relay output from mission planner auto waypoint survey grid.
