I am running 3.2.1 and recently encountered a few sudden changes in both pitch and roll. Each time it seemed like the quad suddenly lost power in a front motor and then quickly went back to normal.

I had a brief look at the log. Seems that there is a sudden change in RCin at the moments of the problem. In the log one happened at about 7:52. Another happened at 10:01. Does it suggest my transmitter's gimbal is having problem?

FYI, I am using a Devo 10 transmitter running Deviation 4.0.1. The receiver is an OrangeRX 10Ch DSMX connected to the Pixhawk using SBus. So the RC channels are: RC1=Aileron, RC2=Elevator, RC3=Throttle, and RC4=rudder. Before today I used a R615X with CPPM which also gave the same problem previously. So it seems that the RX is not the culprit.

I am new to analysing log so I would appreciate it if someone with experience can tell me what is wrong.

Thanks!

  • Guys,

I really need help on this. I have cleaned the POTs in my transmitter, suspecting that they may be the problem. Now I just flied my quad again and it is still giving this sudden "dip". For a split second, the front-left rotor just dips suddenly (like a loss of power) and the quad quickly levels itself.

In the log it happened at line 29000 and 37500, in both pitch and roll. I can see that both DestPitch and DestRoll should be stable, but the Pitch and Roll had a very rapid change.

What could be the cause of this?

    Thanks!
