Hello Guys,

I was hoping that someone of you guys could tell me what went wrong when my Tricopter crashed today.

The tricopter was hovering out in my garden when suddenly one of the motors switched to full power and flipped the quadrocopter upside down. I flew the tricopter in stabilized mode. The damage is not my concern, (only one broken prop), however I would like to understand why it flipped.

I couldn find anything in the logs (which are attached below). The tricopter flipped, therefore it lay upside down in the end, however this does not show up in the logs.

All three ESCs are plugged into the 5V servo rail, could it be that some power issue caused the Autopilot to reboot? If so, why did one of the motors give full power?

I am seriously puzzled, so if someone could give me hint what actually happend, I would be very happy.

Thanks in advance guys

Phil

  • I would be very happy, if someone got another insight on this.

I am still unsure what caused the system crash. Could it be caused by the 5V servo rail? I have the Power Module so I assumed that this is not an option.
    What do you guys think

    Thanks

  • I did not perform a compass calibration, could this be an issue in stabilize mode?
