We are developing a system that controls a Pixhawk powered quadrotor using an offboard ground station with position estimation using motion capture system(Vicon)

I am trying to use PCTx(from Endurance RC) on my Turnigy 9X to control the quadrotor from the PC.(Link : http://www.endurance-rc.com/pctx.php)

However, I am not getting any ppm input in the trainer port from the PCTx in Turnigy 9X after executing the example application provided by Endurance RC.

1. I have checked that ppm output was properly coming out of the PCTx but with peak voltage of approximately 2V

2. I found out you can do a resister fix on the turnigy 9x due to the Transmitter module connection. However, this seems to be applicable to the trainee.

3. I found out the logic voltage level for Turnigy 9X trainer is 5V compared to the ppm level is 2V from the PCTx.

(A similar issue seemed to have been addressed here : https://code.google.com/p/gruvin9x/wiki/PpmIn ) It seems that may be a similar problem with solving trainer compatibility issues between Futaba transmitters and Turnigy 9X.

I tried using a level shifter to change the ppm voltage level from 2V to 5V. However, didn't seem to work.

4. Should I be using Compufly? which seems to be compatible with Turnigy 9X. What is the difference between PCTx from Edurance RC and Compufly from Flytron ( http://www.flytron.com/rc-electronics/56-compufly-usbtoppm-converter.html )

In case of using a PCTx, the computer becomes the trainee as the transmitter(Turnigy 9X) will be turned on.

Has anybody tried to bind PCTx with Turnigy 9X?

Will PCTx and Turnigy 9X be actually possible to use the two systems together?

Any comment will be a lot of help as I am feeling lost in the situation

Thank you
