Hello,

After working for a while trying to turn the Parrot ARDrone into a UAV, I have decided to switch to a new platform. I am looking into another quadrocopter for my project.

Basically I need a quadrocopter that can keep an altitude held at any height(even a few feet). It also needs to be able to remain as stable as possible, hold a camera and use a gps for location based tracking and waypoint flying.

Any recommendations of which quadrocopter I should use for this? I have looked at the aeroquad, arducopter and gaui 330x. But I do not know if these or another is the best for my project. One that fits my criteria for low height, stable flying would be best. But if there is one that is good for my project, as well as normal uav flying would be even better!

Just as an additional note, further down the line I plan to want to control the quadrocopter via an android phone over either bluetooth or wifi.

Thanks

Stephen M.

Of those you listed only ArduCopter can do GPS waypoints.

So the arducopter seems like the one to use. Can the arducopter be fully controlled by a computer/android? Is there a place where I can setup a arducopter to suit my needs?
