1)i need object avoidaance feature in my quad so that my quad doesnt hit any walls or something like that.by using four sonars or ir sensors on the 4 sides of my quad i can attain this feature on my quad but i donno whether this feature is included in the code provided in the site.if not is there any custom code written by the forum members?
if so please provide the link............
2)how to set the auto trim feature on ch 7?????????
3)if my rc set frequency is 2.4ghz,fpv frequecy is 900mhz, on which frequency can i use telemetry set to maintain link between my apm and mission planner??????????

can 433mhz penetrate into wooden walls and maintain link to a range of 1km???????
do u have any personal experience?
please help me. my time is runningout!
thankyou
Permalink Reply by Thomas Larsen on January 25, 2013 at 6:22am I have managed to get a range of 1,5 km on full transmitter power (1W) and a wooden wall blocking the line of sight from the 3DR 433mhz radio. The aircraft was at 400 meters height so I would say that I was stretching the limit. I was using standard antennas.

I have a question, the 3DR 433 MHz radios have a maximum power of 20 dBm or 100 mW. Which amplifier you used to get 1 Watt?
Thank you,
Fausto

thanks for your valuable suggestion sir @ Thomas Larsen.

Once again thankyou sir!
Permalink Reply by sai jeevan reddy on January 26, 2013 at 3:04am i would like to know the opinion of the forum members about the first point which i mentioned!
thankyou
Permalink Reply by Thomas Larsen on January 26, 2013 at 4:10am Sorry, my mistake. I mean 100mW not 1W. I have no amplifier connected. The range on the 3DR radio is excellent with reasonable bit rates.
I think my radio was set to 56Kbps in this particular case
Permalink Reply by sai jeevan reddy on January 26, 2013 at 6:07am thankyou very much sir@ Thomas Larsen
sir how about the obstacle avoidance feature?
please helpme sir!
my time is running out!
thankyou
Permalink Reply by mc_don on January 27, 2013 at 10:56pm Thomas, are you using the new firmware for 3DR?
my 3DR firmware version is 1.6. and i cant get long range :(
Permalink Reply by Thomas Larsen on January 28, 2013 at 6:50am The case mentioned above was with the 1.5 3DR firmware. I am going to test the 1.6 firmware once I get my new drone up and running.
