Hello UAV folk.  As executive director of Friends of Penobscot Bay I need to keep an eye on a number of  locations around the bay that are either pollution hotspots or natural shores at risk of sprawl.  We have been getting a flight or two a year in private planes but would really like to explore whether  UAVs can carry out similar oversight missions. Most locations of concern have ample public property nearby to operate from.  Sample photos from our 2013 and 2014 Lighthawk flights

Penobscot Bay is Maine's biggest bay, and heart of the Maine lobster industry. However there are (1) legacy 19th and 20th century waste sites dotted around the bay that need removal or other mitigation,   (2) Dozens of licensed outfalls whose plumes need to be documented and evaluated   (3) Coastal forests that naturally nourish these lobster rich waters, but will stop doing so when replaced with buildings, parking lots and other forms of sprawl.

We are seeking Maine UAV operators interested in planning and carrying out those and other missions

Ron.
