Unable to Arm my new IRIS+

Hi, I cannot arm my IRIS+ so have not even had a 1st flight 8-((

I follow the instructions but get flashing yellow lights after the initialisation sequence.

I am a total newbie but I thought I was capable of turning it on!

I have followed the instructions I have found online so far but nothing has fixed it as yet.

I did connect using Mission Controller and the virtual controls move when I move them on the transmitter so it must be seeing the transmitter.

I also reset the parameters from the Iris+ Param file through Mission controller and that seemed to load OK with a reboot of the Iris+ at the end but still no joy.

Help please?

  • Don't worry guys I have sorted it.

I got it to work eventually after loading the 3dr Iris+ Param file and writing it to the Drone  many times using the same process & two different computers  it eventually worked but if this is normal practice then God help us!

BTW I have had Zero response from the community!

These are the steps that Alex from UnmannedTech UK where I purchased it from gave me so BIG thanks to him.

I hope it helps other Newbies...

The latest IRIS+ parameters are included with the latest mission planner software so its best to load them directly.

1 - The first step is to connect to your IRIS+
    2 - Go to the Config/Tuning tab
3 - Go to the full parameter list
4 -  On the right you will see a dropdown box with various APM vehicles, select the 3DR IRIS+ parameter
5 - Click on the load button to load the parameter fie, a new window will popup showing the parameters that will be updated, click on continue.  Also make sure that all the parameter files are checked.
5 - Now to save these parameters to your IRIS+ click on the write button.
