I have done auto takeoffs before, but today my mission had a hiccup.
I flew the copter to the home position I programmed, landed, disarmed, armed, and just got the props turning, then engaged guided mode. The copter took off to an altitude of about 2 feet then just loitered there. I let it loiter for at least a minute. I could nudge it around, but the throttle was useless, so I know it was in guided.
What is wrong here?

Arducopter has been doing this since 2.7 or 2.6.
Only way to reset that I have found is to power off.
It is very random, although I have seen it a lot less with the new 2.9.1
But 2.8 would do it nearly every 2nd or 3rd attempt at a mission if you did not power off.
Seems a variable is not getting reset, but as it is random, and not many are reporting it, it could be a difficult one to track down.
