I was flying today, and my throttle did not react as it should.
Like i set throttle to 100%, than it suddenly went back to 20%.
It happened many times today.
Do you know why? :(

Checked the pot. It is not the case. I fly other planes also with the same radio.
Permalink Reply by Gábor Zoltán on June 3, 2012 at 1:33pm Hi Jake Stew,
Just came back to the pot.
When i have checked it it worked just fine.
But what if it is true. I mean that it could be that it worked well when i checked it.
It could be a periodic error, so just wrote to futaba for a set of new pot.
While i receive the new pots, i dismantled the throttle pot, and used contact spray.
I made 5 flights, and have not experienced any throttle problems like i did a few times before.
So I think, you are right.
It must be the pot.
Will fly tomorrow! :)

Permalink Reply by Jake Stew on June 3, 2012 at 1:47pm I have a cheap USB simulator controller and the throttle pot is going on it. It's highly intermittent. Sometimes it works great, sometimes totally unusable. Then I smack it really hard against my palm and it usually works again for awhile.
Sometimes it gets better with use, sometimes it gets worse as you use it.
Anything mechanical will fail at some point. Scraping a piece of metal across a powder coated resistor plate is sure to fail at some point.
How long have you been using your TX?
Permalink Reply by Gábor Zoltán on June 3, 2012 at 2:53pm It is a Futaba 9CPS.
Just checked it.
It was operating 554 hours and 45 minutes.
