I live in a country where there is no limit (yet) to the altitude a drone can fly.
I need daily information and data of the atmospheric lapse rate.
I am thinkning of making a drone and attach to it a small sensor (50grams) to record lapse rate as it ascends and descends. (Temperature & dew point)
I was wondering what is required in terms of hardware (configuration, motors, batteries, ) to get a drone at 3000 feet (over non-populated area and away from any airport) and back to the ground. Only vertical motion is needed so i am even thinking not to use a remote control and just program the drone to ascend and descent to the same gps location.
