Hello Everyone, i Please need HELP! I have a technical question regarding the APM 1 Mega Barometric pressure sensor. How do i know if the barometric pressure sensor is working right? I get a strange reading on the VSI, the indicator mouves up and down +/- 3-4 and some times it stays at zero and then it goes up and down again!!!! I am testing the apm on the mission planner and checking all the other sensors and seams like they are working fine, nothing moves if i don't touch the apm, what kind of reading are we suopposed to get from the Mission Planner pressure sensor VSI gauge? Is it normal?
Or does it need to be steady reading like always zero? Or the indicator from the vsi pressure sensor oscillates a bit.
Please respond!!!
Thank you.
Here is a shorto video.

mine stays on -4 steady sometimes when i land. it's weird. but the big problem with mine was that it would twitch midflight. i solved it by soldering everything: motor bullets and ESC connectors to the PDB. it got solved!!
the bullets felt hard solid before soldering them. right after i soldered them it started flying perfectly.
I even checked the log of a stable flight and the VSI goes all around, but it seems to not affect the flight.. it's gotta be dampened somehow.
if your flight is bad, solder everything. highly recommended!

Permalink Reply by estebanflyer on March 22, 2012 at 8:53am hm.. do you know if it is the same sensor? either it's too sensitive or bad, or the graphic needle is not dampened (for visual relief i mean).
Me and friend of mine having the same problems - discussion here =(
