If you're just looking for a descent chute without the gliding aspect, you'd probably be better of with a hemispherical or cross-type chute from the high-power model rocket suppliers.

I've had good experience with these chutes in the past. They are lightweight, slippery nylon (for easy opening), and are good quality overall.
