It has been for ever since I last came on this site but finally I have purchased myself a quadcopter and wireless FPV system. My video set up is a 900mhz Range Video RX and TX with a KX191 colour camera. Now my problem is the reception, I have done tests up and down the road and even within a few meters of the RX and the video image flickers and carries on and the range is not very impressive. I am running the TX at 11.1v from a 3s lipo and the RX is running from a 12vdc supply of 1amp. Could someone please help me get a crisp image?? I dont know what is wrong here but I am not please by this new system, I would have atleast expected the image to be stable and clear within 10m. Thanks

What antennas are you using? What are you viewing the video with? Are you powering the Vtx with it's own battery or are there other circuits drawing from the same circuit?

Im a fan of the V antenna with low pass filter. Range video sells both of those. I get a pretty good reception at distance. Im planning on getting a patch antenna on the ground side too.
