Could someone PLEASE explain this one to me!

I plug the APM in, boot goes as normal, but green led stays on. Nothing will work except CLI.

I then touch the 6 pin connector (the one going from the red board to the blue) (AVR-ISP) see attached picture.

Then everything works fine.

Why on earth is this???

Iv attached a picture of the pins i touch to get it to work.

Heres a link to a video of the whole process: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgMyoabBIgA

P.S. I dont have to touch all the pins, if i just touch the top left one (as seen in attached picture),

then it works...

If i only have to touch one pin would it not suggest a grounding problem?

Help me guys!!! :))))))

That top left pin is ground. Methinks you have a bad solder joint causing noise on the board. Please retouch your solder joints on those pins.

Jason

Hi Jason, thanks for the reply.

The first thing i did after discovering the problem, was re-solder all 12 joints & check continuity.

It made no difference.

I dont think its a grounding problem either, if i bridge ground to the pin from either the USB connector or even the telemetry connecter, nothing happens. Only when i touch the pin with my finger does it work...

*confused*

I suggest you contact the customer support from the store you bought it from.

What do you think the problem is? Faulty cap or ic?

Not sure; I'm not a hardware expert. But the customer support folks should be able to help.
help in what way? replacement?
