X-Plane Simulation of Autopilot for Dynamic Soaring

I have created models of an albatross and an RC glider for X-Plane.

I have developed methods of intimately controlling the wind profile.

The goal has been simulation of dynamic soaring.

The trouble is that it is almost impossible for me to fly either “plane” in and out of the shear layer without crashing.

I need to develop an autopilot (or two) which will be guide the vehicles through the repeating cycles of dynamic soaring…so that the albatross can continue to stay aloft and the RC glider can continue to gain speed.

Can anyone put me in touch with anyone who could give me a few hints as to the method I should use?
