XBEE 868 Configuration for APM2.5. Help needed!!

Hi to all,

I am completelly new to Ardupilto and I am having problems stting the communication with Xbee Pro 868 modules.

I know about the duty cycle but even if they hang in 6 minutes, they should work at least the first 5 minutes, shouldn't they?

I have an ardupilot mega 2.5 board and two XBee 868 pro modules.

the configuration is the one suggested in  (9600bps):

I have managed to set up a communication between the xbee modules as I can see in X-CTU, Hyperterminal or the terminal in the MP that sentences are comming in; they look like this:

`f`‑f˜`†‑à†††††fx˜f€˜€`ff†€f†`˜à††˜xà†˜à†‑‑†f‑˜€f‑à†‑x`˜`f˜†˜†`††‑‑øà†€††f‑˜€ZçJÿg

$PUBX,41,1,0003,0001,38400,0*26

so there seems to be some kind of information flowing. But...

when I try to connect through the Mission planner, I get a timeout error and a message "No heatbeat Packets Received" And the exception details shows among other sentences "Verify Baud Rate and Setup"

The baud rate is corectly set at 9600bps.

Can anyone put some light in this tunnel?

regards,

Miguel

  • The baud rate is corectly set at 9600bps.

The APM baud rate is 57600. Use X-CTU to change it on the Xbee modules.

Where did you buy your 868 Xbees?
