Any help would be appreciated please!

We have been using an APM 1 with XBee telemetry and just received our new APM 2's.

Naturally we transferred the xbees to that board as per the photo's, but it won't connect, no matter what we do.

Is there a hardware issue with the APM 2 and the sparkfun xbee board?

We have two APM 2's and two sets of xbees and neither will work, they work quite happily when we plug them back in to the APM 1.

After changing out the sparkfun board for the xtreambee board all works well.

So definite proof that the sparkfun xbee board does not like the APM 2 or vice versa!

I'm having the same issue. I'm using an xbee set that works perfectly in other apps and seem to be communicating. However, when connected to APM2 mavlink will not connect. I have the correct USB port selected, I have the baud rate set to 1152000. I'm not a xbee expert (don't want to be) could someone help me with a trouble shooting protocol to determine where my problem lies?

Thanks in advance!

Try changing the baud rate to 57600 and see if that helps, the APM's are pre-set to use that speed unless you have changed it.

Thank you Quentin! That did fix it! I had read in one of the threads the baud rate for APM2 was 115200 and the xbee should be set to match it.

Regards, Bob

Bob the xbee's work best at 57600k and the usb cable plugged directly in to the apm uses 115200k for your information.
