ive been flying with my APM 1 for several months, I had my PIDs dialed in fairly well so I havent needed to update the parameters. I loaded the latest arduplane firmware a couple of days ago and also installed a new RC reciever so I had to load the parameters again. Since then the board doesnt seem to be saving the params once the board had been powered down. When I connect to the mission planner it shows the default settings, I write my custom params, I refresh from the board and it shows the correct numbers, then disconnect and power down. When I power up again the params are back to the defaults. Any ideas?

I am facing the same problem. I am using ArduPlane-2.40 with APM1. I am loading the parameters after each power on.

Did the problem start with the new firmware?

Looks like its a known problem, heres a solution
