Hi there
After having quite a few successful flights with the Ardupilot i decided to go a bit further away. When the plane got the first waypoint (i had lost the telemetry link) it nose dived straight into the ground but some how it corrected itself and it flew back without any problems all previous flights I have had no problem. My setup is the APM 1.4 2650 with Arduplane v2.32 as far as i know i set the waypoints properly will post a video on youtube soon.

Sounds like you had a radio out-of-range loss. You might want to check out what your RC system does in case of link loss and see if you can set up a proper failsafe behavior.

Does the datalogging stop or pause when the issue occurred? That would be a sign of a power brownout.

Permalink Reply by Danny steenhuisen on April 8, 2012 at 3:15pm It does a similar thing when it is coming back to home and it is at lets say 200m and the home alt is set at 100m then it pretty much nose dives to that altitude but not as steeply as this time.
Sounds like your pitch PIDs are too high.

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.1288 members
