I thought I saw somewhere that flaps could be deployed on auto land so maybe this could be used to trigger the chute.But I can't find much info on this.If you find anything let me know.

The auto-land command is not at all set up for a parachute release.  Auto flap functionality could be used, but would be a bit messy.  Why not just use the set-servo command?

Any ideas where to find information about the set-servo command? I searched the wiki and nothing came up.
