Have you read these?
I'm afraid mixing Arduplane and Arducopter code and make a "plug and play" is not an easy task. Personally, all I want is a stable Arduplane just doing waypoints, stablize, failsave, etc... and my next steps are PID tuning.
I tested 2.34 on a Bixler. Works great.
Only have a Failesafe problem issue to resolve

First, I hope this is the place to be posting this, if this is not, I am sorry in advance...
I have a question about Arduplane... I see that Arducopter is getting worked on (updated) on the regular and I haven't seen anything about arduplane being worked on nor updated... I do remember a while back Chris or someone had stated they were moving in a direction that would make it easier to code and add code and the like... What is the status on this? is arduplane even being worked on, bugs fixed, or anything? or is it just being ported so you can add scripts for loops and weird flying movements? IMO i think it would be easier and best to have and APM that has enough memory that you can have just one source code that works for all so there wouldn't be this old/obsolete/current/alpha/beta stuff... and the look here and then look over there routine... The best solution is to make everything in the end, PLug-n-Play as best it can be...

Comment by steve F11music.com on May 28, 2012 at 3:27pm Found the solution just after writing. :) I have a capacitor bank on it that gives me about 5 seconds of power and I guess it was holding some residual power and keeping some things alive on the board? Just a guess but when I pulled it and restarted, all was fine again :) Bug?
Comment by steve F11music.com on May 28, 2012 at 3:25pm I thought things were working and then something happened that I remember happening a few times with my skywalker. I've even seen it with my quad. The problem shows up as a super slow response to movement in stabilize mode. You move the plane and can see the changes happening in the mission planner but in a very delayed way. The servos respond the same. I just can't remember what to do to solve it. I've restarted, reinstalled the firmware. All other functions work but the stabilization is in super slow mode. Does anyone know the solution to this?

F11: The instructions in the manual are here. Basically, set your TX to elevon mode so it works in manual. Then do a RC setup in the MP, and check the "elevon" checkbox, so it will work in auto modes, too.
