Hi
Can some kind person on the forum help a total newbee with the right cable plugin for a hexacopter config. I am using a seven channel futaba 6EX and R617FS receiver and need to know which cables should i attach from the receiver to the Board to get my six motors spinning and working with my Futaba 6EX. The way i have done it was port 1-2-3-4-5 on the receiver plugs into the 1-2-3-4-8 (in) ports on the board and my Esc's plugged into the 123456 of the (out) ports of the mega board. I think i am doing something wrong as i only get some of the motors running. Please please help as it's driving me nut's.

On ArduCopter you should not use radio channel 8, that is for fixedwings only. ArduCopter uses ch5 to control it's modes.
Using Ch8 on ArduCopter makes it to behave "Crazy" as in-properly configured Ch8 overrides all output commands via Mux chip on board. So DO NOT CONNECT Ch8 on ArduCopter.
Correct output channels for motors are:
1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8
Channel order as in picture:
If you use other frame combination, you can find correct orders from our wiki pages at:
http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/wiki/AC2_Frame_Assembly
Easiest way to connect all cables and ESCs is by using Power Distribution board for ArduCopter hexas from jDrones.
Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.684 members
