I have downloaded the latest ArduCopter version 2.7.1 to my computer. When I run the APM Planner 1.0.66 and go to the Firmware tab to update the software into the quad by clicking on the ArduCopter Quad icon it asks me "Are you sure if you want to upload AC 2.0.40 Beta Quad?"
Of course, this is not the version that I want to install. How do I direct the loader to the latest version that I downloaded?
Thanks for any help with this

Yikes. Where did you find APM planner 1.0.66? That's ancient. Please update to the latest Mission Planner (1.2.9)
1.0.66 was the last svn build im pretty sure. and when things moved to git it broke the updater.
Permalink Reply by Michael Brown on August 30, 2012 at 3:57pm Thanks. Sounds like I need to start from scratch.

Should I just remove all the software and start from scratch?
I agree, YIKES lol.

Permalink Reply by Gustav Kuhn on August 30, 2012 at 11:54pm I wasn't aware that you could use MP offline to load code into APM ????

Gustav: If you already have a firmware hex file on your computer, you can load it with Control-C in the MP firmware page.

One more thing, the map in the planner does not show up. It must be something simple, any ideas?

If you're online and the map isn't showing up, it means that your OS is probably blocking network access for the new app. On Windows 7, there's a dialog box that opens when you install a new program, asking if you want to grant it network access, both local and external. Did you see that?
Permalink Reply by Michael Brown on August 31, 2012 at 6:47am I do not remember seeing that. I will check that when I get home.
Thanks
